Key Responsibilities

Front Office Operations

• Greet and check-in members with warmth and professionalism

Position Summary

GWC Medical (GWC) is hiring a Billing & Coding Supervisor to manage and optimize all aspects of our revenue cycle, particularly focused on coding integrity, claim oversight, and third-party billing performance.

In our hybrid concierge model, which blends direct pay and limited insurance billing, this role is essential for ensuring billing accuracy, coding compliance, and maximum reimbursement with minimal denials.

This is a remote position that works closely with our providers, back-office teams, and external billing vendor.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all claims submissions, coding accuracy, and denial management


• Review provider documentation for coding completeness and compliance


• Serve as liaison between GWC and third-party billing partner(s)


• Track and audit RCM KPIs: clean claim rate, denial rates, days in A/R, etc.


• Set up and maintain best practices for E/M coding, CPTs, modifiers, etc.


• Identify root causes for denials or underpayments and propose solutions


• Generate monthly and quarterly billing performance reports


• Train and coach providers on proper documentation practices


• Ensure compliance with payor policies, CMS guidelines, and state regulations


• Recommend and implement automation or software to streamline workflows

Ideal Candidate

• CPC, CCS, or equivalent medical coding certification required


• 5+ years of experience in billing and coding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role


• Strong understanding of both direct pay and insurance-based billing models


• Experience with Athena, eCW, Hint, or CareTracker platforms a plus


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills


• Meticulous attention to documentation detail and coding updates


• Familiarity with concierge medicine, direct primary care, or hybrid models preferred


• Comfortable working independently and across remote teams
